Quality Lab Consulting began in 1998 as an idea of A.J. “Buzzy” Alban. The idea was to start a business that was service oriented and based on his talents and previous experiences. After some preparation and planning, Quality Lab Consulting was born in May of 1998.

A.J. “Buzzy” Alban has been employed in the compressed gas field for over 30 years. He started his own technical consulting company, to serve the compressed gas industry. Mr. Alban has traveled within the United States and abroad on varied projects during that time in the fields of Gas Chromatography, FTIR Spectroscopy, Analyzer Technology and Statistical Methods. Prior to starting his own company, A.J. Alban, or simply “Buzzy” as he is known in the field, was employed by a major specialty gas company for 23 years as a laboratory and quality manager.

As a Laboratory Manager with hands-on laboratory experience, he acquired a very broad working knowledge of procedures and instrumentation. As a Quality Manager he was trained as an ISO Management Representative, helped institute the company’s Statistical Quality Program and certified trainer in their Quality Program.

A.J. Alban is a member of the American Chemical Society and the American Society for Quality.
